4K Display Rentals Turn Any Convention Booth Into A Marvel Of The Human Eye
Ultra High-Definition displays deliver the highest detail picture with incredible clarity and crisp images. 4K technology is currently being developed for large TVs primarily, meaning that many of the 4K displays on the market are huge, usually around 85" or larger. The bigger screens are able to take advantage of the 4K resolution much more noticeably than a smaller screen is capable of.
SEE ALSO: Apple's New 5K Retina: Impressive, But Is It Worth The Price?
What Is 4K?
But what exactly is 4K resolution? Well, 4K denotes a display resolution that is roughly 4,000 horizontal pixels. Ultra HD displays come with a resolution of 3840 x 2160, which is double the resolution of a standard HDTV and four times the actual pixel count. In addition to that, most traditional movie cameras film at or above 4K resolutions. Full HDTVs present us with an image of around 2 megapixels, though this new generation of screens delivers 8 megapixels. What's The Most Cost Effective Way To Get 4K?
This new technology is exciting, which is why Rentacomputer.com is excited to now be offering 4K display rentals! Display rentals are a commonality among convention vendors. Anyone setting up a booth or running a convention knows that one of the best way to make your convention or booth look more professional, have a lot of style and really draw people's attention to what you want is a big, beautiful, HD display. Display rentals from Rentacomputer.com allow you to have all the pop and pizzazz of beautiful displays without the depressing drainage of your wallet that comes when you purchase something like this. With new 4K display rentals, Rentacomputer.com also allows you to rent what are known as Video Walls. Video walls are multiple displays put together to form a virtual wall, allowing you to make images larger than possible with just a single display. High pixel counts enable images to go larger and screen sizes to get bigger before they begin to distort and pixelate, creating a smoother appearance of curved and diagonal lines. In addition to that, these displays allow users to get closer to images without being able to notice individual pixels and distortion. This is what makes 4K displays perfect for something like a video wall.

Put on a Show at Your Convention Booth with Plasma Display Rentals
You may have thought about renting a desktop PC or a laptop for your next convention, trade show or conference, but have you ever considered a Plasma Screen Rental? Whether you have or haven't, Rentacomputer.com has a wide selection of HDTVs, LCDs and Plasma screens that are perfect for that short term technology rental.A Plasma TV Rental is a very popular rental item for a trade show booth. Some people like to make elaborate PowerPoint presentations and these look excellent on the show floor when displayed on a flat panel HDTV or standing plasma display. A Plasma TV Rental provides you with "in your face" marketing for anybody and everybody that happens to pass by your booth.
One thing you will have to consider is whether to rent a plasma or an LCD. The main difference between the two is that LCD screens can suffer from motion blur. However, in most models, especially at 120Hz or 240Hz, this isn't a problem.
In addition to that, plasma screens can display blacks more accurately. However, they do suffer from "burned in" images. In most cases plasma screens are better for televisions larger than 50", though if you are looking for a smaller television, your best bet is to go with an LCD screen.
Another thing to consider is whether to go for full 1080p HD or the cheaper 720p. This is becoming less of an issue today as 720p TVs are progressively being phased out. However, nearly two-thirds of all HDTVs now come with a 108-p HD resolution thanks to less pixels on the screen. However, this isn't really noticeable, especially with TVs that are smaller than 40".
This is just a fraction of the information one should consider before looking into a specific Plasma TV Rental. Thankfully, Rentacomputer.com has highly trained Tech Travel Agents that can answer any and all of your questions as well as set you up with your ideal Plasma TV Rental.
So the next time you think you may need or want a Plasma Screen or HDTV at your next trade show booth, consider the experts at Rentacomputer.com. With over 20 years in the technology rental business, you know you are going with a company you can count on.

Need a Long-Term Solution? Desktop Computer Leases Are the Way to Go!
Computer rentals are perfect if you need short-term, on-the-spot technology in a pinch. But if you are looking for something more long term, then a rental is not what you want to go with, especially if you don’t want to spend a lot of money. For situations where time makes a computer rental unmanageable, Rentacomputer.com offers you the ability to lease a desktop computer instead.Desktop computer leases are perfect if your company is setting up a temporary office that will be running for a significant amount of time. A desktop computer leasing solution can appropriately meet the needs you or you business have for long term technology that is still temporary.
Another great option for desktop computer leases from Rentacomputer.com includes leases for computer training labs. If you or your company are setting up a computer lab for a purpose such as training, and you will need to keep the lab running for a year or more, then leasing is the option you need.
By leasing the computers instead of renting them you can keep your training lab running and return your lease once the lab is discontinued. This allows you to skip out on purchasing pricy equipment that you may only use for that particular training lab.
If your company is considering hiring temporary employees for those busy times of the year, then a computer lease could also benefit you. Instead of purchasing a desktop to suit a temporary employee or subcontractor, you can lease one and not have to deal with having unused technology once that employee has fulfilled his use.
Renting a desktop computer can be a great business decision if you need temporary technology for any situation. But if you need something long term, nothing beats a desktop computer lease from Rentacomputer.com. With over 25 years in the business of computer and technology rentals, nobody knows the business better than Rentacomputer.com.

Netbook Rentals
Laptops are good because they are portable, easy to use and give you almost all the computing skills and power of a desktop on the go. However, laptop designers have taken the portable computer idea to new extremes with a new era of laptops, the Netbook and Ultraportable. These devices are even thinner and more portable than your standard laptop and some of them even offer better hardware and software options. For a true mobile businessman, an ultraportable or netbook is definitely the way to go.However, Rentacomputer.com knows that there are some businessmen out there that only travel on rare occasions, maybe once or twice a year. For these individuals, it doesn't make financial sense to purchase a netbook or ultraportable (many of which can cost upwards of $1,000) that they are only going to use a few times a year. That is why Rentacomputer.com offers a full line of Ultrabook and Netbook Rentals.
If you or an employee is headed on a last minute trip to a convention or trade show or if you find yourself on the road and you forgot your laptop, an ultraportable or netbook rental is perfect for you. These devices are specifically designed for travel and have screens as small as 5" diagonally and a typical weight of between 2 and 4 lbs. Smaller netbooks can range from 7" to 9" so, depending on the degree of mobility you need out of your rental, you might consider going smaller as devices of this size can easily fit into travel bags with plenty of room to spare.
If you are looking for something with a little more computing power then you may want to consider a larger netbook, one that ranges from 10" to 13". These devices are perfect if you need excellent mobility with some decent computing power and a larger screen. Being physical larger means more internal space, which in turn means you can pack in more hardware.
Rentacomputer.com offers ultraportable and netbook rentals that also have every piece of software you need, or may need, pre-loaded on them at your request. In addition to that, Rentacomputer.com offers select business software suites like Microsoft Office. This makes your job easier because all you have to do is boot up and your netbook is all ready to go.
Another feature Rentacomputer.com offers is data integrity. If you are traveling with a netbook that contains sensitive corporate information, this might be a good option to go with. Netbook rentals are perfect for putting any worries to rest as a Tech Travel Agent can have a netbook delivered to your hotel, convention center or business location so you don't have to worry about it getting stolen or lost in the airport.
So the next time you are thinking of hitting the road and you think a laptop may be a good thing to take with you, consider an Ultraportable or Netbook Rental from Rentacomputer.com. Rentacomputer.com has over 20 years in the business of computer and technology rentals and also rents to any state in the country, as well as Canada, South America and the United Kingdom, allowing you to go with a name you can trust, no matter where you are.
Power Point ProjectorsMost business class projectors will do a good job displaying your PowerPoint presentation. If you have a small presentation group, a 2000 lumen LCD projector will be able to produce a nice and clear picture. For larger audiences you should consider a 5000 lumen LCD projector.

Rack-Mount Server Rentals
When it comes to technology rentals, one of the most useful things you can rent is a server. Server rentals are perfect for anybody who needs a fast and easy temporary server. However, it isn't always easy to know what type to get. One of the more popular server rentals offered by Rentacomputer.com is a Rack-Mount Server Rental.Any server you rent from Rentacomputer.com will offer great performance and reliability, but rack-mount servers have many advantages over your traditional tower server or other type of server. Rack-mount servers offer a greater ease of access for mounting and servicing, allow for an increased air flow, increased utilization of vertical space and a lower power consumption than conventional tower servers.
But just because you rent a server doesn't mean you are finished. You also have to consider an operating system. Rentacomputer.com can custom load any server operating system you need for your rack-mount server rental, including the newest edition of Microsoft's server operating systems, Windows Server 2008. New and improved product features, like Hyper-V virtualization and Remote Desktop Services and Internet Information Server 7, are just a few features Windows Server 2008 has to boost productivity and ease the cost and burden of server administration.
One question Rentacomputer.com gets all the time when it comes to a server rental is "How many cores does my server need?" Most servers have multiple processors and each processor has multiple cores. How many cores your server needs will need depends on what type of services you are going to be implementing with your server. If you are unsure, then your Tech Travel Agent will have the answer. Just let your Tech Travel Agent know what you will be using your rack-mount server rental for and he or she will tell you exactly how many cores you need.
So the next time you find yourself in need of a temporary rack-mount server, consider a rack-mount server rental from Rentacomputer.com. Rentacomputer.com has over 20 years in the technology rental industry which means when you rent from them, you are renting from a name you can count on.

Tablet Rentals at a Baseball Game?
The tablet industry has really been booming recently thanks to the iPad 2 and some very good competitors running the Android platform like the Samsung Galaxy Tab. With the hype in the technology industry growing in terms of tablets, it is no surprise that the technology rental industry has also seen an influx of tablet rentals. Tablet rentals are becoming as popular as laptop rentals and desktop rentals, but one outlet for tablet rentals may have taken the concept a little too far.According to a press release, T-Mobile will soon begin offering a tablet rental service to attendees of any Los Angeles Angels home game. Yeah, you read that right, tablet rentals at a baseball game. For the lowly sum of only $10, you can rent a tablet that gives you access to:
- 1. Free game-day program that has been optimized for watching it on a tablet.
- Free content from the Zinio magazine app including the ability to read from a sampling of magazines during the game that includes ESPN.
- Free T-Mobile TV (only available on the T-Mobile G-Slate) that provides content from popular TV shows. All of the regular free content, including the "Select" package, which is normally $4.99, will be available as part of the game-day tablet rental.
- Access to T-Mobile's network that allows for fast video chat sessions and download speeds.
This seems like a cool concept, and definitely a good deal for only $10, though it does seem a little ridiculous and unnecessary. One of the best things about going to a game is leaving everything else behind. Why pay money to go to a game if you are just going to watch it on a tablet? Stay at home and save your money. And if you are going to go as far as to use a tablet then you might as well just bring your own.
Tablet rentals are definitely a good business venture for technology companies but only if the market in which they are renting seems worth it and to me, this doesn't seem like one of them. If you are going to rent technology, then do it at places where you really need it, like conventions or conferences, not baseball games. And while we are on the subject, don't bother taking your own tablet to the game either. Go to the game for the game. Sit back, relax, eat a ballpark frank, drink a cold beer and enjoy yourself, like the good ol' days.
Source: PhoneDog - A tablet service at baseball games is a bit silly, don't you think?

Helpful Tips for Your First Trade Show
With all the advancements in technology taking the physical meeting aspect out of business meetings or board room conferences, there really is no substitute for the good ol' fashioned face-to-face meeting one gets at a trade show or event. In the United States alone there are around 2,200 trade shows and industry expos held annually, however, this number is down almost 25% from the past three to four years. The good news is that a lot of new shows are popping their heads up this year and some discontinued ones have seen new life sparked into them and attendance is expected to improve. If you run a small business and you want a higher profile in your industry or are looking for new clients, new partnerships or are needing to get up to par on certain trends, you should consider exhibiting or at least attending a show this year. Here are a few helpful tips and practices for getting the most out of your trade show without breaking the bank.
Budget Your Time. Familiarize yourself with the layout of the show floor and the schedule of events. Once you do this, plan your time accordingly. Try to talk with the event manager in advance and request a list of past attendees and pre-registrants.
Partner to Save. A lot of small companies often split rental fees on exhibit space with two to three other small businesses that complement them. By doing this you can save money and maybe even make a few new contacts while you're at it.
Know Your Goal. You need to determine whether or not you will be selling a product or taking orders at your show. This is known as a Contract Event. Otherwise, you will be meeting people and forming relationships in what is known as a Contact Event.
Go Minimalist. It is possible to purchase a reusable, fabric-covered back wall for your booth at a pretty cheap price (around $500). You can also get a folding easel for around $20. You could split these costs with your partners if you want to. The wall can be shipped to your hotel or be folded up and checked as baggage.
Give It Time. If you do plan on attending a show, don't try to squeeze it all into one half-day or a few hours, especially if this is one of the biggest events in your industry.
Tell the Manager About Your Company. Reporters for industry publications typically ask the general manager for tips on new exhibitors they can profile during the event. If you talk to the event manager, then they may tell the trade press about you. It's like free press, what can be better?
Rent Your Technology. If you need something like a laptop, computer, monitor or plasma display, you should know that you do not always need to buy it. Why spend all that money on something that you will only be using once or twice a year? Renting technology can save you a lot of time and money and is extremely convenient for trade shows and events.
So there you have it, some helpful tips to guide you through your first trade show, convention or event. These tips can make your first experience exponentially better than most others and will definitely give you some much needed advice.

Great Benefits to Computer Rentals
Computer rentals are really useful in a lot of different ways and can help you out in a lot of different scenarios. It is no secret that the economy in our world today has seen better times. The current situation we are in economically can really take its toll on people, especially small or medium-sized businesses that are reliant on having the most up-to-date pieces of equipment. While having the most up-to-date equipment can do wonders for your business, it can also sink it due to costs and other factors. Continuously buying new equipment can drain your bank account faster than you may think. But thankfully, there is an alternative, a computer rental. Computer rentals can benefit you and your company in many different ways and may even save your business.
Predictable Expenses - Have you ever been looking online or in a store for a computer or other piece of equipment and found a really great price only to go in to purchase the equipment the next week and the price has gone up $200? That happens a lot, but not with a computer rental. With a computer rental you always have a solid price. Your payments will not increase month to month and the price of your rental won't go up either.
Minimal Upfront Expenses - Computer rentals have minimal costs that you are required to pay upfront which allows them to deliver the technology you need at a fraction of the price you would pay to purchase it. This allows you to be more flexible with your equipment and technology.
Flexibility - Do you know what kind of revenue your company will be producing in six months? If you answered yes, then ask yourself how reliable that figure is and if you are willing to bet a lot of your company's income on it? Computer rentals offer great flexibility and allow you to alter your computer rental contracts whenever you need to. This could keep you from making a potentially business-ending decision.
Technicians When and Where You Need Them - For some people, getting technical support can be an all out nightmare. With a computer rental, however, you can get a technician to come out and deliver your equipment, set it up and even test it to make sure it is all working properly. If your equipment breaks or malfunctions, you can have that same tech come back out and troubleshoot your problem and even fix it on the spot. Try getting Dell or HP to do that for you.
Disposable - Computers lose their value as they age. This is because they often become outdated with newer models that are faster, more powerful and able to handle more tasks more easily. Plus, most of the software and things you would need for your computer are designed to run best on the newest products, continually outdating older ones. Buying new computers every couple of years can get very expensive very quickly which is why a computer rental is a great way to stay on top of the new technology and still keep money in your wallet.
These are just a few of the many reasons a computer rental can better support your business over a purchase. So the next time your company needs a computer or another piece of technology, consider getting a computer rental instead.

Keep Your Business Profitable with Technology Rentals
As anybody in business knows, when your business grows, your needs can change. Your needs may change from having a simple printer or fax machine one year to needing a stand alone printer, photocopier and wireless network the next. So it's obvious that keeping up to date with your computer rentals can save you a lot of time and money.A computer rental is all about cash flow improvement. When you buy a computer or computers, all your money is going out the door at one time. But with a computer rental, you only pay as you need them, and they always allow you to stay in touch with the most up-to-date technology and trends. Whenever you need an upgrade, you know that you do not always need to throw down a sizable investment.
It is no secret that if equipment costs less, then you can afford more of it. Your growing business may need a lot of things, like a network printer for each department as opposed to just one for the entire company. And by renting, you can get the extra printers in your office immediately rather than having to borrow money or wait on a bank approved loan. Renting also leaves your cash available for use and lines of credit open for other business expenses.
Let's look at an example. Let's say you work for a customer service center and you need to employ extra staff for the holiday season. Buying new computers for each of those new employees would cost thousands of dollars, while the people are only going to be there for a few months. Instead, look at renting the equipment.
Prevents a surplus of equipment sitting unused after the project has been completed.
Means short-term, fixed-price equipment can be factored into the cost of the project.
Allows for tax deductions for rental fees.
Protects the business from a short-term cost shock.
In the world of business, which is rapidly changing, your ability to swiftly react to change could be the key difference between increasing your income and going broke. Buying your equipment definitely gives you certainty and also builds your assets base, but there are definitely times when a rental can be the smarter business decision.

Technology Rentals Help Evaluate Office Spending
If you own a small business, then you know that buying the wrong office equipment can be a very costly mistake. That is why it is always best to try before you buy, so why not try renting your office equipment? I mean, we rent movies, we rent games, we rent appliances, heck, we even rent houses and cars so why should office equipment be any different? There are many problems that renting a computer, or any piece of equipment for that matter, can help you avoid. Frequent travelers or commuters need portable technology that is both up-to-date and reliable. They need the assurance that their equipment is going to perform well and even travel well. Finding the right balance between portability and performance isn't easy.
Since the fastest machines can also be the heaviest, many people tend to sacrifice power for convenience. That is why it would probably be a good idea to try out your equipment first. You can rent a computer for a month which gives you the perfect amount of time to "test drive" it.
One common complaint that is heard throughout the technological rental world is that notebook batteries are not as good as they should be. Despite what the specifications say, you truly will not know how the battery performs until you test it for yourself.
Desktops and plasma rentals are very popular and come in a wide range of prices as well as a wide range of options. How can you really tell if the $800 model is better than the $600 model? You can make out a list of your basic needs, but until you see the computer in action, you won't be able to accurately determine if it is the right device for you.
But what is a computer without a monitor? Monitors vary greatly in their quality and response time and picture quality can vary drastically across models. Is the 24" monitor worth it or will the 18" do just fine? Renting a monitor will help you settle the dispute first hand.
With great computers comes great peripherals. Wired is out and wireless is in with today's tech savvy renters. However, even peripherals, like mice, have devices that are better than others. Do you go with a laser mouse or an optical mouse? Is the performance difference really worth the $40 to $60 price difference? Why not rent both and find out for yourself?
If you are like so many small businesses out there, then you know that there is little room to maneuver when it comes to budgeting. Spending more money than you necessarily have to is never a good option. A better solution is taking some of your budget and using it on a computer or equipment rental, ensuring that you know exactly what you are getting before you blow the big bucks on it.
