The EMS Expo will take place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, October 26-30, 2009. The EMS Expo is held in partnership with NAEMT, the nation's only organization dedicated to EMS professionals including paramedics, emergency medical technicians, first responders, and any other professional who deals in pre-hospital emergency medicine. NAEMT was formed in 1975 and has over 27,000 members in government agencies, fire departments, hospital based ambulance services, private companies, the military, and industrial and special operations settings.
The four-day event, jammed pack with educational and networking opportunities, will bring these professionals together under one roof. The conference, itself, offers a wide variety of classes and lectures based on a number of different tracks including, BLS, ALS, Educator, General Audience, Administrator/Manager, Disaster Response/Special Operations, Pediatric and Research. Other invents include ride-alongs, a photo contest, the Ambulance Safety Update Lunch and Learn, Atlanta 911 Communication Center Tours, Advocates for EMS Administrator, Manager and Chief Forum, and the annual NEMSMA Meeting. And of course, the exhibit hall, will be open on the 28, 29, and 30th and will feature hundreds of companies that specialize in emergency medicine products and services.
