October 15-17 the Washington DC Antiques, Art & Jewelry Show will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, with a preview party to be held on October 14. Over 10,000 people are expected to attend. This is the first annual event of it's kind to be held in Washington DC and the show has partnered with the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Corcoran, one of the nation's oldest art institutions, is privately funded and incorporates a museum and a college of art and design. It's internationally known for its collection of historical and modern American art, and European painting, sculpture, and photography. Attendees will have the opportunity to mingle and enjoy hors d'oreuvres with art, jewelry and antique dealers from all over the world. The show will showcase a large variety of merchandise including 17-19th century furniture, porcelain, art deco pieces, modernism pieces, objects of virtue, paintings, antique jewelry and time pieces.
Exhibitors, even though this is only the Show's first year, it's is being produced by the same staff that produces the Original Miami Beach Antique Show - one of the longest-running antique events in the world. The show will be heavily and frequently advertised by direct mail, print media, broadcast media, internet, email, outside media, and by partnering with local art organizations, museums and performing arts centers.
