New Ways of Bit Writing from Hitachi

Hitachi has a new way of writing bits onto hard drives. Originally bits were written on the the drives laying down, which is not the most efficient way for storing information. Hitachi is now going to be having them written standing up which will have the potential of storing up to about 10X the usual amount of data on the same size platter.
