Southern Women's Show in Nashville Technology Rentals*

Southern Women's Show in Nashville Technology Rentals*

The Southern Women's Show 2010 will take place at the Nashville Convention Center, April 8-11. Over 20,000 women are expected to be in attendance. The Women's Show began in 1983 and focuses on fashion, food, fitness, business, health, education, travel, leisure, art, and home. The best part about the Souther's Women Show is that there is no single demographic that makes up the audience. Women, ages 25-54, are the main attendees but these women have a wide variety of diverse interests and lifestyles. They include homemakers, working women, entrepreneurs, single women, married women, and mothers who are responsible for making the purchasing decisions for their households and businesses.

Women attend the show for education and pleasure, to find new products, shop, evaluate and make decisions. The show includes seminars, fashion shows, cooking schools, food sampling, cosmetic makeovers, celebrity appearances, entertainment, sweepstakes and more!

Each show puts over a quarter of a million dollars into advertising, promotion, and marketing, in an effort to reach thousands of women. It's done through newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, direct mail and website promotions. It's a great opportunity to exhibit your product or service thousands of potential new customers and grow your business. For more information, view the video below.

How Much Does It Cost to Rent a Computer? Updated - June 2014

How Much Does It Cost to Rent a Computer

People often ask how much it costs to rent a computer. The truth of the matter is, it depends on time, space, specs, and availability. Prices vary based on how long you need the computer, where you're located, what type of computer you need and whether or not that type of computer is available. As a rule, renting a computer for a month is cheaper than renting on a day-by-day basis. Renting a desktop is often cheaper than renting a laptop or notebook.
Time:
Computers can be rented for daily, weekly, and monthly rates. According to a Tech Travel Agent, an Intel i3 based desktop computer starts around $99 per week in most areas of the United States and Canada. However, if you need a computer with more specific features, prices can be higher or lower, up to about 35%. Monthly rentals usually run around $149.
Location:
Due to ease of access and parking, it's generally cheaper to have a computer delivered to your office or business than it is a convention center. Because delivering to a convention center requires more time and effort on both the rental company the person or business receiving the equipment, they are slightly more costly.
Specs:
The average computer rental consists of a modern Intel Processor from the i3, i5, or i7 family, with two or four cores. The most common operating system is Windows 7 Pro. Standard RAM configurations range from 2GB to 16GB, and 250GB or larger hard drives. The higher specs you need, the more the rental will cost. If you need more memory or an advanced graphics card to be installed, or maybe you need a different operating system, you can expect to pay a little bit more than you would with the standard specs.
Availability:
Supply and demand plays a big part in the computer rental industry. Depending on the amount of competition and total units available for rent, a computer rental company's supply can be greatly affected. But not at Rentacomputer.com. Our Tech Travel Agents have access to rental pools all over the United States, Canada, and Europe, which means you will always get the computer or technology you need. We aren't just depending on a single vendor to take care of your rental needs.

Texas Library Association Convention Computer Rentals*

exas Library Association Convention Computer Rentals
The Texas Library Association's Annual Convention will take place April 14-17, 2010, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. This year's theme is "Filtering Caos: From Information to Knowledge," which according to TLA president Patrick Heath reflects on the critical roles of libraries and librarians in today's "information rich environment." Librarians help people find information so they can turn it into knowledge and the conference has been designed to offer quality professional development and intellectual opportunities for attendees, as well as equip librarians with the tools they need to do that.

One big focus of this year's conference is the new and changing world of technology and social media. The Hands On Lab sessions will help library workers as they'll get hands-on computer training from experts in technology trends such as using Google apps, creating digital book trailers, creating podcasts, building online library communities and more. Each lab lasts about two hours. The convention will also offer you the chance to see a number of authors and speakers; these include: Scott Simon, host of NPR's Weekend Edition; Julie Powell, author of Julie and Julia; children's book author and artist, Ingrid Law; author and actress, Amy Wilson; Ken C. Davis, author of Don't Know Much About History; best-selling authors, Adriana Trigiani and Elizabeth Berg; Ginny Cooper, the director of the Washington D.C. Public Library; Camila Alire, ALA's president and dean emirta at the University of New Mexico and Colorado State University; Steven Bel, associate librarian for research and instructional services at Temple University; Lisa Brunkan and Susan McBurnery, two grassroots library activists; and more!

In addition to the many guest speakers and the Hands On Lab, you'll have the opportunity to meet and get an autograph from some of your favorite authors in the Exhibit Hall, watch the presentation of several TLA awards, earn Continuing Professional Education credit, enter a disaster relief raffle, view dozens of exhibits and the technology showcase, attend meal functions, attend the All-Conference Welcome Party, Lynda Becker Memorial Downtown Walking Tour, 5th Annual Book Cart Drill Team State Championship, The President’s Party, Twenty-third Annual Hetherington Fun Run/Walk, Library School Receptions/Dinners, and so much more!
